Visual Storytelling
Visual storytelling is a signature part of how I work. I use it to make thinking visible in real time, capture what’s really being said, and help groups see patterns, assumptions, and possibilities as they emerge.
This isn’t decoration. It’s communication.
Working visually helps groups build shared understanding faster, navigate complex topics more easily, and create shared artefacts they can return to. It’s especially useful in workshops, leadership sessions, and strategy or product conversations where people need to think together, not just talk.
This draws on human skills such as creativity, communication, and presence to make ideas clearer, conversations more engaging, and decisions more grounded.
Sometimes this is called graphic recording or live illustration. I think of it more simply as using visuals to help people think, communicate, and decide better.
What happens when visual storytelling is combined with storytelling workshops? Teams can not only capture ideas visually, but craft and communicate clearer, more compelling stories around change, strategy, products, and transformation.
